Hi Everybody,

I found your forum when looking for Shires Thermostatic shower control knob.

I spent already several weeks searching and checking Internet and with local shower shops and almost lost hope to do so.

All shower system is fine only the plastic part (plastic teeth) wear out.

Do you know where I can it new or used or what's the product code or if there is any replacement which could fit? Any help more then welcome.

Pictures which may help to identify it:

I've had bad luck with replacement parts on anything typical consumer grade plumbing faucet / shower control from home depot or like stores. You can try a local plumbing supply house. Sometimes I can find parts at McMaster-Carr if it's a bushing or a seal. It looks like you have geared part that's worn, it could be a common part. If it isn't, try to press the manufacture. Some of them will help you out, and just send you a new assembly just because you asked. But there's a decent chance you won't get anywhere, so you'll be left with the choice or replacing it with something else that's disposable, or going with a higher end item such as ToTo, where they have rebuild-able / serviceable items that will list for decades. Personally, I'm tired or re-buying things, so I tend to replace what i have with upper end faucets and shower controls as the need arises.
