I am installing a sewage pump for a basement bathroom. During the build of the home, they installed a Y to tie into. However, the Y or port isn’t positioned on top and appears to be parallel to main drain line running below floor joists above. Is it OK to have it positioned this way or does it need to go up. Any idea if my run up to the inlet needs to go up and then down. Any help would be much appreciated.
