There’s a sewage pipe leading up from my basement floor and it got backed up somehow. There was just a deep pile of feces sitting there. After cleaning it up a bit, upon further inspection there’s a crack in the concrete that the sewage is going into. I’d like to know what’s causing the backup and how to proceed immediately. My house is smelling like poop, please help

Start by getting your septic tank pumped if you have one.

If city sewer, get your sewer pipes cleaned.

That is where to start, but you still need repairs. The person doing the cleaning may or may not be a good person to do the repairs.

Most likely your sewer line is clogged. You're going to need it to get snaked. I'm guessing the drain the sewage came out from is your floor drain. If there is a clog in the sewer it will usually come out of there because it's the lowest opening in the drain system.
Does anyone in your household flush wipes, tampons, paper towels or anything besides toilet paper? If so, that's probably the cause. If not, there's probably something wrong with your drain lines.
If you're on a septic then that could be the issue. If you have access to the lid that would be the first thing to check before you spend money on snaking.
