After 2.5 years we had our septic pumped. The pump co. said it was all the way up to the top. He recommended that we not seal the top for 10 days and see if the problem recurrs. Evidently my wife had been flushing baby wipes and there was a mat of them floating so he thought the problem would go away. If not they would jet the leach lines and add bacteria. (4 gallons or so). Well they did that and told us to check again in a couple weeks before closing the top tightly. Yesterday I noticed that the ground around the lid was wetb ut I did not lift the lid. I figure that the treatments done have not resolved the problem. Does this sound like a whole new leach field? If there is no place to move the leach field from the existing place do you have to remove the dirt and replace the dirt or just the lines? Finally, does anyone have any thought or experience with Infiltrator systems ?http://http://www.infiltratorsystems.com/index.asp
Finally, What kind of budget am I looking at for leach field replacement?
Thank you,
Kent
