Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice on a plumbing issue with our kitchen sink. We recently installed a new sink and P-trap, but now we’re experiencing a very slow drain. This wasn’t a problem with our old, much shallower sink.
The new sink is 10" deep, which brings the drain and the waste line closer to being level. Could the waste line be too high for the deeper sink?

Given this situation, we’re wondering:
- Is the waste line likely too high for our new sink?
- Would switching to a shallower sink and drain solve the problem?
