Scoop air eliminator

18 inches of straight pipe is recommended before scoop air eliminator but what about after? Is it ok to 90 right after the outlet?

They only care about the 18" before to straighten out turbulents. Leaving they don't say but 4 times the pipe diameter would be the least to straighten turbulents going into the pump.
