An "S" trap can siphon the trap.

SMELL

btw.. if i vent at the right level BEFORE a drop... this will avoid the siphon?

meaning., will "p-trap connected toa T-wye, and then a 90 long el taking flow downwards... " avoid the trap being siphoned?

No. Turn the trap around the other way. Then connect the outlet off the trap to a wye and 1/8 bend on their side for the vent facing the opposite direction. Run that horizontal with pitch, then turn it vertical and tie into your existing vent at the appropriate location. Connect the outlet side of the wye (farthest from the trap) to your wye and bend on the 3" line.

All things considering, that looks much better than before.

It may be time to wrap it up.

I like to run off the wye fitting toward the shower and then roll a wye off of the 2" for the vent, a bit higher than the flow level,

but seeing what you are trying to miss there, that should work too.
I like the combo for the vent. Much better than the santee before,
And it is the right direction for your setup.

thank you., i was trying to avoid cuts in the floor joists :)

everything is all glued except the right most contraption, i just need to glue in the 90 deg elbows that go back towards the joist... was waiting for the rest to dry. the next part of this project may not be possible...

need to put a tub but the vented drain is on the other side of the room (8ish ft)
