Sand point well

Just put in a new1 1/4" sand point. Sunk about 13 feet in Michigan sand and liquid thread sealed all joints. I have a check valve at the top. I hooked up a 1 hp Harbor freight pump with tank the pump draws some water & pump pressure will only go up to 28 lbs. Do i not have enough prime? Could I not be deep enough? We have a high water table. Just trying to figure out why I don't have enough pump pressure and water volume.

You could try cleaning your jet with a wire.

Still doesn't mean the jet nozzle isn't clogged like Reach says. Jet nozzle clogged means 20-30 PSI is all the pump can build..
