I got a neighbor on a well and he only has orange water on the hot side of his home
the cold side is perfectly clear...
The heater was a 2005 unit so we started there and changed it out yesterday and as we
drained the heater it did come out a light orange color so I assumed the heater was leaching
rust into the system''
Now the water on the hot side is still orange and I think its in the water lines and its some kind of
biological iron going on ..... He is going to bleach the well today and see if this kills it off but I am
not sure if bleaching the well will be enough
I dont think an iron filter would solve the issue and I wonder what kind of chlorine injection system
is out on the market that would keep killing this problem ....
He will be getting the water tested
any suggestions???
