Dear Forum,
I found a few threads here that helped folks identify Royal Brass replacement parts. I need to replace the stem of an old shower valve that I believe is Royal Brass based on stamps on the handles (R.B.C. MFG, small crown) and the handle being made for a 16 point broach. I believe it dates from the 50s, but it may have been updated during a renovation in the 90s.
The screw that held the handle in place broke off in the stem, and when when I tried to drill it out of the stem, I ended up wrecking the inner stem threads.
I've attached a few pictures. I haven't been able to find any replacement parts online that look like what's shown in the pictures, but I think I may need to take things apart more fully to expose / remove the stem.
Any advice on the part for this particular stem or the process of fixing this would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel

Your Brand is Mixet. The spline on the stem is from models made in 1967 and earlier. The spline has been replaced with two flats so your trim will need to be changed out also.
