My Richmond Rheem indoor condensing unit (model number RMTGH95DVLN-1) will fire up as if a hot water valve was opened to start have it produce hot water. However, it is doing this when no water anywhere is running or turned on. It will fire up for about 10 seconds, then it will stop and do it all again 2 or 3 times a minute. No error codes are being displayed.
The water heater produces hot water correctly when a faucet is turned on, but in between uses, it cycles like I described above. It is newly installed. It is runs on natural gas.
