I would like to install a washing machine in my basement. As far as I can tell, the plumbing in the location is similar to the attached diagram. Is there any way to tie in a washing machine stand pipe between the sink sanitary T and the toilet Sanitary T on the stack (red circle)? From what I understand, you can't do this, but I just want to make sure before going more complex.

Thanks.

You could add a dry vent to the toilet from above and put a standpipe connection at your red circle. You could re-route your lavatory waste into the side of the horizontal pipe from the toilet on its way to the stack.

I am guessing your toilet is on a slab, rather than over a crawl space or basement. So either of these would call for busting up concrete.

Thanks for the info. That is what I feared. Unfortunately it is going to have to wait for now I guess.

Hey, wait a minute.
