so we have been in the house 20 years. Well water. Have a huge in ground water pump, 2 big blue resin tanks, a holder for 200lbs of salt, and two big pressure tanks.
10 years ago one of the pressure tanks flooded. It was repaired along with needing a new pump. Now sometimes the water pulses. A sign the pressure tank flooded again.
Called the guys who installed it 25 years ago and repaired it 10 years ago got $2200
They came out and said we need new everything for $5300
So how do I know that I need new resin tanks? Their response was they are 21 years old so should be replaced?
No problem with water taste or smell or deposits. Pressure is fine as long as no more than 2 people showering at the same time.
