Hi-

I've found myself in the middle of a complete shower demolition. The shower is from the 70's and contains original symmons trim pieces.

I just want to update the look, without a major plumbing redo, but I can't seem to get a straight answer from symmons if this is possible. I've found trim replacements on Amazon for relatively priced.
The question- do I have to replace any internal pieces to upgrade the look of my shower set?
Problem is if so the condo requires I use a certified plumber (if it requires a water shut off) and they charge an arm leg.
