I have a 3x6 foot bathroom that is way too small. There is a very small cast iron h/w radiator in there too, about 10 inches long. Even that small, it's in the way of the toilet. Whoever built this space should be shot. Anyway, under the floor the feed and return run back and forth across the entire floor length just for this radiator. My thought is, can I pull it and gain valuable floor space, then add aluminum heat transfer plates/Ultra -fins under the floor and get enough radiant heat from this single send/receive run. It's a second floor bathroom with a floor of 1, 3/4" subfloor, 2.luan and 3. vinyl tile (vinyl planking actually). The only other complication would be that I'd either have to leave 6 inches of airspace above (that I'd insulate around underneath), or have to do a bunch of resoldering to bring the pipes closer to the floor. I'd rather avoid this. Any insight/past experiences would be super appreciated.
