So I live in a rental in an older building in Queens. I took off the showerhead since it hasnt been working properly. I know very little about being handy but when I spotted what's in the pictures I had a feeling this wasnt modern standard.

What is the easiest way to get a standard showerhead to fit this? I dont want to contact the super because he honestly is awful at responding (hey, it's a cheap place in an expensive city).

I don't know if that portion on the end of the shower arm unscrews, but if it doesn't, looks like you'll probably need to unscrew the whole shower arm and then replace it with a standard one with your choice of showerheads.
