Replacing sewer ejector pump help

I am trying to replace Zoeller M264B used in my basement bathroom. The basin cover has threads on the outside joints and looks like plumbing dope is used on them.
My question is it plumbing dope that I should use on the threads on the discharge pipe ?
Do I have to use any dope on the joint connecting pipe from the pump to the basin cover?
There are no threads at this end. See the pictures.

Maybe I'm seeing threads for the vent side and a rubber O-Ring where the 2" comes up from the pump?
Threaded connections can take tape or pipe dope normally. Tape is always a safe bet though.

There is no rubber O ring. Please see the attached sketch of the cross section of the discharge pipe hole of the cover.
It is like connecting to a 2" coupling.
I don't see the 3/16 dia. hole on the discharge pipe as recommended by the manufacturer either.
The pump lasted 9 years. It was used daily.
