Hi all,

My mom's boiler has a 1 1/4" spirovent (Junior model) right above the expansion tank. The thing has slowly dripped a bit for a long time and is pretty sludged up at the nipple there. It's about 12 years old. It'd take some doing to get the whole vent out with taking various fittings apart - luckily it's all threaded but still a PITA. I just found out you can purchase just the top part of these. Do you guys recommend just doing that vs pulling the whole thing out? I'd also replace the screen that's in there while I'm at it.

Thanks in advance!
