Replacing a Gerber ceramic cartridge G0098705 with a regular one with a seat.

I replaced a Gerber ceramic G0098705 with one from a Trim kit repairs 3-handle tub/shower Gerber Bath E4800 series/Danco from Home Depot. The ceramic cartridge has no seat and the replacement seat can't be used. I installed it anyway and it seems to be working. No leak. Any specific issue to be looked at?
