Hello,

Recently replaced a bathroom sink and installed a new p-trap. Old sink worked fine... maybe drained a bit slowly. However, the new sink drains extremely slowly! The sink basin will start back-filling with water after just a few seconds of the faucet running. Can't imagine this is a clog since old sink was OK a few days ago. Possibly entrapped air? If it matters, it did seem like the wall stub led to a 90deg elbow turned down directly inside the wall (essentially creating an s-trap). Any advice before I call in a pro? Photos of new sink attached.

Thanks!

It is possible the gap of the drain pop up lets in less air while the faucet is running, and that combination of new flow characteristics of faucet and aerator and gap makes the difference.
Next up is to snake the drain thoroughly.
