Replace Uponor Tee

I am in the process of installing a water softener. As part of that, I need to replace a Uponor Tee with an elbow. What's the proper way to remove the expansion ring and then reuse the tubing? . I don't have enough play to just cut out the tubing.

How about cutting one of the lines and installing a plug?

Cut the ring off, but you will probably still have a hard time removing the tee from the tubing.

Removing a fitting from Uponor would be most likely impossible without cutting the pipe. That piping uses a tool to stretch it. You can try heat on it.
You will need to cut farther back.
