Does anyone recognize this or know how to remove it? I want to replace with new stems if I can find still find the parts. I cannot see a ‘nut’ to grab onto other than the packing nut. I read a suggestion on another forum with a similar stem that you just keep turning the stem counter clockwise to remove it. Does that sound right? Thank you. Oh this is a two handle shower faucet.

Ok, you remove the front packing nut then just keep unscrewing the stem. They are Repcal / Crane. The Danco # is 15400B or 15399B for stem only should someone need to cross reference in the future. I went to 5 places locally before the last guy had the parts.
