I wanted something of record for myself and anyone else in the future who may attempt to repair physical damage to their control board. I broke a button before because the button stem cracked, and I was a pain to use remove the cover and use a pen to try to depress the button to cycle through the menu. This time though, the board was damaged during a remodel when we were moving the tanks. A few of the buttons were smashed, the LCD was crooked, the pin connectors were bent, and two resistors had physical damage that needed to be replaced.

The back of the board is covered in silicone conformational coating. The front of the board is not. I presume this is extra protection for the saline environment it finds itself in. Presumably it's only on the back because of the orientation of the piston and seal pack.

The LCD and bent pins are easy to replace on your own, but the major issue for me was finding the button replacement. These are 12x12x12mm 4-pin switch buttons. If you know your way around electronics, this is an easy soldering fix.

PS. I'm not sure why, but I can't seem to attach any pictures. It won't let me.
