hi folks,
just found this site, excellent - looking to repair a cracked gould j10s:
i need to fix my mom's sprinkler system, and one of the key problems is the cracked case on the gould j10s. i can't seem to find a 'tech support' number at gould, at least not one for consumers; and i can't find a parts list either to oder repair parts (so i don't have an exploded view of all the pieces). there is a post on this site for j10s, which is helpful, but i never tried this kind of repair before.
but, first things first:
1. how do i pull the motor shaft away from the pump assembly?
- i got the cracked pump assembly apart, but can't pull the motor shaft out
2. assuming i get things apart, does anyone have a recommendation for a parts supplier?
as you can see, i am just entering down this repair journey. my tempatation is to loosen things with hammers, but i suspect that's a bad idea.
anyway, any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
ron
