1. We are putting 2 showers in our master shower. We need more volume and pressure for 2 people to take a shower at the same time. Would it help if we increased the water line from 1/2" to 3/4"? Also we're looking at replacing our old pressure tank with a larger capacity unit. Would that help?

2. We have an instant-on hot water tank, but our master bathroom takes about 7 minutes before hot water reaches our bathroom and we waste a lot of water down the drain waiting for hot water to arrive. Any advice on fixing that problem?

Thank you!

1/2" pipe is only good for one fixture.

Unless your house is the size of the White House, something is very wrong if it takes 7 minutes to get hot water to a fixture.

The size of the pipe TO the faucet is only one part of the equation. The important thing is HOW LARGE is the opening inside the faucet. Most of them have openings one fourth, or less, the size of a 1/2" pipe, so increasing the pipe size would do little to increase the volume.
