I've found a ton of information on how to properly plumb a utility tub in addition to an existing washing machine, but my question is this: can I remove the washing machine and plumb the new tub into the 2" standpipe the washer used to drain through? From what I have gleaned, I would not want to use a p-trap in addition to the trap on the standpipe, as double-trapping can cause problems. I'm thinking I could just run a 2" drain pipe from the tub to the standpipe and let the trap at the bottom of the standpipe do the trapping. Any input is greatly appreciated.

You can do that if the heights work. Feed the washer drain into the new tub.

Anyone know what parts I would need to move this whole sink to the left a foot or so? Thanks
