Hello All,
I'm trying to get the cartridge out of my Grohe mixer valve but don't know how to get the trim off to access it.
The valve is #34122 but can't remember name of the trim package. I've attached photos below. Does anyone know how to get the chrome barrel/trim off of the center valve? I don't see any screws, clips, or anything that's holding it in.

I wasn't getting any hot water and was very slow, so cleaned out hot and cold check valves and now I have great volume of water but now the cold water is gone. Hoping to get at the center cartridge to see if that got clogged. Thank You!

I'm trying to do the same thing, remove this sleeve from a Grohe thermostatic mixer. Did you figure out how to do it? Thanks. Brad

Yeah. Believe it or not you just grab it tightly and pull. Nothing holding it on, just friction.

Hi, I am having trouble with my Grohe mixer valve. I only get hot water and I suspect that the valve is clogged.
I would like to check for clog without shutting off the main valve. How do I control the water supply in the mixer value? Please help.

Unless you have shut offs integrated into the valve, or on its inputs, you cannot take it apart while you have water pressure...you'd have to turn the main shutoff off, and leave it off while you mess with it and get it back together.

I’m not much of a plumber, so I am looking for basics. I just pull the black plastic part off? Brute force? Then I’ll get to the valve? And how do I know which valve I need?

Sorry. The photo is losing too much resolution. I’ll try again.

I have similar issues, two Grohe valves in the same shower. Both working fine for 15 years, one slowly stopped the hot water till barely lukewarm. Other works as intended on the same water line. I don't see much on the web for my particular valve, picture looks similar to the pictures on this forum.
Couple of questions
Valve size of my model? Stamp on the side reads A112.18.1M 0407-02 and the Cartridge reads 47 310
There are 2 separate dials on each side of the valve stem, which ones turn off the water and what are the other two for?
Are the dials simply large Hex fittings?
