I'm trying to remove my old bathroom faucet (2 handle wide faucet) and it has a lever retainer clip holding the handle apparatus in place under the sink. Do I need a special tool to remove this clip? If not, how do you remove it?

I've attached a picture of it. In the photo you can see the clip resting up against the bottom of the sink. It has a sticker on it that says, "cold".
