We are planning remodeling master bathroom and are considering installing a stand-alone tub to replace existing tub. Is acrylic a durable material when choosing a tub?

Which brand of stand-alone tubs are recommended?
Is Dawn a good brand for shower diverter valves and fixtures?

I've never heard of Dawn 'till just now. The fact that they existed in my home zone of N. California and I never have heard nor seen their products makes me wonder. In 50 years, I've never seen them at a PHCC trade show.
I personally like lifetime warranty brass products from known A brands like, Grohe, Hansgrohe, Am. Std., Kohler, Delta, Moen, Pfister

One place that has mainstream plumbing is Build.com its a division of ferguson strictly online and mainly fixtures . at least look through browse to get ideas . Dawn is dish soap to me . there is online stuff off amazon and elsewhere chinese or globaly else where than can be horrible crap . Stick with well known companies there are some other lesser known that are pretty good mostly medium higher dollar stuff besides Breplum mentioning like Rohl , newport brass if they are still around I steer clear of the high priced stuff My clients are typically are modest budget.
Cast iron is great if you can find what you like in that material otherwise its acrylic which is pretty good on tubs , pressed steel tubs are a bit cheap quality only pressed steel I use is on basic builder and even then Id go with americast by6 American standard which is sheet metal but with a insulated coating thats thick on inside of the tub
