I have to replace the white plastic mounting bracket for my hand-held shower about once a year, because it breaks from normal use.

This time, I decided to spend an extra few bucks to get the chrome mounting bracket. Guess what, this chrome is plastic and will probably break again in a few months.

Ironically, the manufacturer of all this plastic is "BrassCraft."

With the price of brass unfortunately this is what's happening. Typically unless you spend big bucks on a faucet today some part of it is going to be made of plastic. It bad.
