I’ll preface this post with the following information:
-I am not an HVAC tech, just a WA State PL01 with a little over 20 years primarily domestic waste & water pipe systems.
-for this little remodel, the contractor could not find anyone willing to show up to relocate these manifolds.
-since we were doing the plumbing and I thought it’d be an appropriate challenge, I volunteered to try and do this so everyone could move forward.
-supply & return, as well as everything in the slab, is all 5/8” Wirsbo
-we ordered the 5/8” expansion head, rings, couplings, pipe, and bend supports and away I went
-never wired actuators before but I made sense of it and reconnected it like it was.
-no thermostat for me to simulate a call for heat.
-unfortunately instead of the 3 hours I told my boss it’d take, it was closer to 7.5 after turning on the boiler and restoring supply/return pressure, etc…
-Anyone have some constructive criticism or should I just stay in my lane next time? I imagine stacking the manifolds so tightly is not ideal, but you can see what I had to work with.
