Does anyone have any idea why REHAU advises not to use F1807 crimp rings fittings in Hydronic Heating systems?


I find is strange, given they do allow them for their non oxygen barrier pipe:


They must have found something when they did their testing. I emailed them to ask ... will let you what they say, if they get back to me.

Looking at the everloc+ fittings they have 4 sealing edges and are longer to spread the crimping out. Guess their worried about a abrupt temp change from a cold boiler to hot with just a compression ring. Where out in the system temp rise would be gradual.
