I'm retrofitting my house with dedicated hot water return line with a new ECM circulator-the main hot water line is 3/4 copper (the run is about 35 feet) under house with 1/2 inch feeder lines in walls-
This house is a small single bathroom and kitchen sink all off same trunk run so the return will be easy under the crawl space.

What size should my return line be 3/4 copper or 1/2 inch??The pump is 1/2 inch connection.
I'm thinking 1/2 will work fine on the return but I could be way wrong?
All lines will be insulated.

I will be using one of the new Grundfos Comfort PM auto pumps (ECM circulator) with 1/2 connections )
