Hello guys,
I wanted to use a quick disconnect to attach my garden hose to the spigot but I found it cannot work with the vacuum breaker device that is on the end of the hose spigot. The two devices bump into each other when you try to clamp the hose part of the quick-disconnect into the spigot part. (I have an older home and the hose spigots have to have the screw-on type of vacuum breakers.) Is there a type of quick disconnect that can work with the vacuum breaker on the spigot? Or would it be okay if I screw a short length of hose onto the vacuum breaker and put the quick disconnect on the end of that? I have a question if the quick-disconnect can interfere with the vacuum breaker doing its job?
Also, if you have a quick-disconnect on the spigot, do you need to remove that before winter?
