Question re: American Standard Saver bathtub

I just bought this bathtub from Lowe's a couple weeks ago - it's a nice looking tub with the matching tub surround (there are some tricks to installing it but I think I have it under control)..
My question is should I be concerned about this drain hole not sealing properly? What if anything should I do? Sure doesn't look like it'c conducive to a good seal...
