Hi - I have a 1/2 hp 230v submersible pump in a 85 foot well. The pressure is set at 40-60 and the tank is set at 38. What is happening is when the cut-off reaches 60 and shuts down, the pressure immediately drops to ~55. What causes this?
Thanks
Jack

A drop from 60 to 55 is a lot more than I would expect, but some drop is normal.
Here is what I saw -- not a 5 psi drop and not immediate.

How about a photo that shows your pressure switch, pressure gauge, and the input to the pressure tank.
