Hello all, I have a drilled well 75FT deep with a 3 GPM restriction valve that feeds a 200 gallon tank/cistern in my basement, due to the well being slow regenerating (low yielding). Well pump is a Pentair STA-RITE 1/2HP 10 GPM 3 wire pump. There is a separate pump and pressure tank from the 200 gallon tank/cistern that feeds the house but that is irrelevant regarding my question. I have heard mixed and varied information if you can use a a QD Pumptec with a restriction valve or not. I have read no you should not but also yes you can if you use the "field calibration" on the device to adjust it to your system. I know the factory setting is for a Franklin 3 wire pump. Can I use a QD Pumptec device and just "field calibrate" and if so do I do perfrom that when the well pump is running/refilling the 200 gallon tank and pressure tank depleted? Thanks in advance.
