PVC & PEX thru slab

I saw a build where they put in these triangular rods about 1" is size into the ground to keep the pipes plumb before the pour.

they look like a plastic that stays in after the pour

What are they called?

Also best practice to wrap (or not) the PVC and PEX thu the slab

the pvc is the waste & vent lines, that's ok right

What do you normally wrap them with and keep insects out?
