IRC code talks about allowed ABS and PVC "including schedule 40, DR 22 (PS 200) and DR 24 (PS 140); with a solid, cellular core or composite wall"

So is there more than one type of schedule 40? Just wondering if someone has a simple explanation. - What is DR22, 24, and PS 200, 140 ?

There is only ONE type of sch. 40, for each material, the others have the same o.d., but thinner walls so the i.d. is larger which creates problems when you use the proper sch. 40 fittings.

Thanks. I was reading it wrong. Was thinking there was some magical high end pipe that the big box stores didn't sell.
