Pumptec Tripping

I’m in the process of buying a home but during the inspection well pressure/flow test the Pumptec protection system tripped after a half hour. Flow was 4.5 gpm and pressure 48 psi. Our inspector restarted the system but it only stayed on for 5 minutes. Unfortunately it’s an old Pumptec that only shows the one red tripped light.

The seller replaced the breaker and allowed us back for another flow test but the Pumptec tripped again after around 30 minutes. He said the flow and pressure were good until it tripped. He also said the amps were okay initially.

We have no information on the well depth/static level/etc or on the age of the pump. The house was built in 1940 if that’s helpful.

Does this sound like a pump issue, or potentially a low water/dry well issue?

That’s interesting our inspector thought it was likely a pump issue since the flow and pressure were good until it tripped. If it’s tripping both the Pumptec and circuit breaker does that mean an overload? Would appreciate any more insight you have, thank you.
