pulsatron metering pump for chlorinator is sucking water into solution tank

It should be pumping solution from solution tank to retention tank. I am thinking the check valve at the discharge is defective and thus allowing fluid to go the wrong direction. Can anyone shed some light on what hte problem is?

I bought a repair kit it should be arriving in a couple of days but i am not sure what is wrong.

I have the LC54SA-VGC1-055 model of pulsatron series C.

Would appreciate any help!

Yep, the valve set has gone bad. The rebuild kit should solve your problem
