Hello!

We have a new house and I have never seen a toilet water shut on/shut off valve like this (see photo). I don't want to break it! I am not sure if I push it in or pull it out to shut OFF the water. I carefully tried each way, to no avail, and didn't want to force it...so I thought I would ask the experts.

The knob says "PULL TO ....".

Pull to what? Close? Shut off?

What else does the knob say?

I'm an idiot:oops:. I'm a senior and my eyesight isn't great. I got a magnifying glass and a flashlight...and read "Pull to CLOSE". I pulled it, hard, and it came out about 2 inches. And (drum roll), it shut the water off. Pushed it back in and the water came back on. Problem solved.
Thank you, Reach4!!!
