Adding a standalone tub too far from main stack to vent that way, so I want to tie in to a vent on the other wall of the bathroom. Which of these three options (or if there's another I don't have listed) is the best/code approriate fitting & size combination?

1st pic is a 90 sweep to a 2" tub drain and 2-1.5" reducer to the vent
2nd pic is a san tee to a 1.5" tub drain and 2-1.5" reducer to the vent
3rd pic is a 45 wye to a 1.5" tub drain and 2-1.5" reducer to the vent

Obviosuly other combinations are possible. Thanks for your help, guys.

Just trying to bump this to get some feedback. If any of these options will work equally well, that is useful feedback too. I know that in vertical venting situations, code prohibits wyes in certain designs and san tees in certain designs. However, I can't find any info on a horizontal "bypass" of a waste line to a vent like I am doing.

The third picture is the only one close to right but there is not enough of the system shown to know how close. When you reduce from 3 to 2 at the back of the wye you need a 3" clean out. You need a vent, not shown. I have no clue what you mean by "bypass". More info is needed to get an answer.

Thanks asktom.

On the left, the 2" line coming out of the wye runs horizontally in the joists to a wall and then up to join a preexisting 1.5" vent at 42" above the floor. That's what I was referring to as a bypass since the line continues past the waste source (tub P-trap) and becomes a vent.

On the right, the 2" line coming out of the wye runs about 6 feet before dumping into a 3" stack. Do I still need a cleanout, or was my initial post just unclear?

I'm told that the tub only requires a 1.5" P trap.

On the horizontal it would be the wye fitting.
The vent should remain 2" if it's being wet vented by the lav. They don't allow a horizontal vent otherwise.
Normally venting is on the vertical.

Thanks Terry. So you are saying I should replace the existing 1.5" vent with 2" all the way to the roof (& roof vent)?

I attached a (poorly drawn) diagram of the whole setup if it helps to understand what I'm trying to do.
