Hello, first time here. I am looking for suggestions for a deep well pressure tank. The background is when I purchased our cabin about 8 years ago there was a galvanized air over water tank with an air volume controle valve and a bladder tank after the galvanized tank. The galvanized tank developed a leak after a couple years and I replaced it with a wellmate epoxy lined steel tank with a air volume controle valve. Now this tank has developed a leak so I bypassed the tank for the time being. Problem now is the amount of air in the system, so I need to install another tank to remove the air. Am I correct that the well pump purposly adds air? What I am looking for now is a composit air over water tank that will have a air volume controle valve of sorts. What I am thinking is the WellMate WM-HP-15QS0/ HP-8SQ or something liike that. If I am way off base let me know. If you have suggestions on a tank please let me know.

That tank will work and won't rust out like the others. There is a bleeder orifice on a tee about 5' down the well that drains the pipe from there to the check valve/schrader at the tank. If you remove the bleeder an air over water tank and AVC would not be needed and you good use just the standard diaphragm tank by itself.

Thank you for the information. As I am at about 8500 feet elevation in Colorado I assume that they did this to prevent freezing while not in use, but not sure. In my experiance the basement, where the tanks are never get that cold so not sure that I need the bleeder.
