Those seeking advice on this site are for the most part inexperienced persons seeking help on a project they are doing their self. Therefore it is important for their safety that any advice given has their safety at the forefront. Keeping the safety of those seeking advice in mind any advice that is unsafe or dangerous will be deleted.

Code compliance is also important as the NEC (National Electrical Code) is a minimum safety standard. Compliance with the NEC results in an installation that is essentially free from hazard to both persons and property.
Any non-compliant advice will be addressed in a respectful manner. There will always be room for debate concerning NEC rules but any and all disrespectful or degrading remarks concerning the NEC will be deleted.

This does not mean that someone can not in a proper manner comment on any post whether or not is addresses a NEC requirement or the manner in which someone approaches a project. What is does mean is that unsafe procedures and non-compliant advice will be addressed and if warranted deleted.
