Post Approval?

There is a post approval system in place for all new posts or members who are newly posting. This is to protect the forum’s integrity as forums are highly targeted by spam.

Postapproval can vary it is generally done within 12-24 hours of the request or sooner depending g when submitted. Most of the admin also have full-time jobs outside of running this incredible forum as well as managing their families and home life!

Hi all. Lurking and trying to learn. Unsure if longer than 12-24 hr is now average or if I did something to cause extra review time. First time post here still showing pending 48+ hours. Thanks! Chris

Please read the above comment regarding post approval. This is to attempt to try and block spam and bots from taking over the useful forum. We do our best. We attempt to go through approvals 2x a day.

Hey everyone,

I'm new around here.

I signed up about six days ago and posted a thread to get some help identifying an old shower valve. The problem is, the post is still stuck in "Awaiting approval before being displayed publicly." and hasn't shown up yet.

I'm totally striking out trying to find a way to message a moderator or admin directly to see if someone can push it through.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get a hold of the mods, or know what the typical wait time is like here?

Appreciate any help!

This one got through so try re posting. This website has some technical issues I would say , maybe the website isnt the owners full time focus original Terry who we all miss passed a few years ago and family took over managing Im glad it lives on there are a few quirks though in the system. You might get help by contacting Barry Walters in colorado google them they manufacture hard to find parts and have cataloges take pictures measurements etc try 970 867 -3858

Hi members- we still self host and run this amazing forum without much help. Given the new AI world we live in we have to be even more through in our approvals and sifting through pending posts. Some days we are spammed with 2000k + spam and bot post that we have to properly handle to avoid crashing the forum.

Terry was an incredible man and dedicated himself to this forum as his main focus- I wish we could work like him we his family are doing our best while also managing our families and careers.
