Police look for "electrocuted" (shocked) man who apparently was stealing copper

Electrocutions frequently occur when individuals attempt to steal valuable copper wire from active utility poles, transformers, or underground cables.

We had a couple of guys stealing large neutral wires from underground vaults. They knew enough to know you could get away with it as long as there was still other paths to ground, but eventually they cut one that was the only remaining path. The reason we know there was 2 is because they found the charred remains of the one that took the blast after opening the manhole cover that his buddy had put back in place after leaving the guy down there.
