Hello all! I have a question that I am hoping a "plumber" can answer for me. I hired a local plumber to install a tub and set up the plumbing. They have a Delta R1000 rough-in valve for the tub/shower and there are only 2 screws in opposing corners holding it down.

My question is this.... should I strap this thing onto the stringer board on either side? It is extremely wobbly and doesn't feel as though it's going to be that secure or sturdy. I have hit Youtube and some guys say strap it down on both sides and others say just to leave it and it will firm-up once the wall and trim pieces are all put together.

What exactly is the "correct' way to to do this?

Thanks for the help!
