I have a laundry tub in my basement which the previous owners simply let drain into the slab near a drain. I’d like to connect this tub to a waste stack that’s about 2 feet away from the tub, running vertically down into the slab. The waste stack is 4 inches in diameter.
The stack I’m refering too runs horizontally on grade approximately 30 feet prior to where the laundry tub is. An upstairs bathroom and laundry room drain into this stack.
The easy way to plumb in the laundry tub would simply be to use a tee right into the stack, however I’ve learned in the past that basement fixtures should be plumbed in above main floor connections.
Here’s some pictures of what I have currently. I would appreciate very much if someone could give me some advice here as to whether or not I can simply tie into the stack near the sink, or if that would cause me some issues with siphoning.
Thank you!
