Hi,

I have a symmetrical design (mirror image) for 2 bathrooms, where toilets, sinks clothes washer and bath tub are "back to back".

I want to follow the Canadian plumbing code.

I have attached a drawing with 3D view of the circuit, and a top view.

+ The green lines in the drawing represent wet vents.

+ The fat pipes have 3" diameter and the thin ones have 2" diameter.

Canadian code Table 2.5.8.1 (Max Hydraulic loads drained into a wet vent)

Nominal Pipe SizeNot serving Water ClosetServing not more than 2 water closets
2"43

Wet Vent #1
+ serves 2 toilets, load = 8 f.u.
+ receives drainage of 3 f.u. (the two sinks) (OK with Table 2.5.8.1)

Wet Vent #2
+ serves 2 bathtubs, load = 3 f.u.
+ receives drainage of 4 f.u. (the two clothes washers) (OK with Table 2.5.8.1)

Trap arm lengths in the design:

+ toilets: 6'
+ bathtubs 7'

The Canadian code has a max length of 3.6m (11.8 feet) for 3" pipes and 2.4m (7.8 feet) for 2" pipes.

Here is a better drawing of the plumbing circuit, hopefully it's more clear.

I've never read the wet vent section of Canadian plumbing code. I do understand the load tables but... do they allow wet venting to serve more than 1 toilet? Sometimes the are footnotes or just plain coffee sections that wet vent shall serve one bathroom group. Also sometimes vertical wet venting is seperated from horizontal wet venting. So unless there's someone here who wants to study up on the code your gonna have to read the sections carefully and look to be sure these cases are allowed.

Your also gonna wanna add some cleanouts.
